the dishes are very unique here and really tasty. for instance, I love their jackfruit curry and the fried okra. the restaurant is on the smaller side with a nice ambience and a bit on the pricier side.

I've been going here since I was young. It is typical North Indian, but the restaurant is kind of classic with huge portraits of maharajas and really large aquarium with interesting fish. I like their buffet here.

love their paneer kathi roll. my dad asks to go there whenever he is in town which definitely says something about this place. it's a hole in the wall on a really trashy block of macdougal but definitely worth it.

this is an amazing South Indian chain restaurant, but they actually serve one of my favorite chole bhaturas which is a North Indian dish of fried puffed bread and chickpeas. the madras coffee is amazing here too.

almost everything here is amazing and their buffet is really cheap. it is one of the few places in the city that you can have gujrati food. their samosa chaat is really delicious too.

this place is really interesting. it is all gujrati and vegetarian. they serve a prix fixe menu that is all you can eat. you are able to try a variety of different dishes but definitely leaves you crazy stuffed.

This is the restaurant that my family would go to for special occasions. it is the "fancy" Indian restaurant serving North Indian food - almost everything I have ever had there is superb. I sometimes dream about this place:)

this place is amazing. it is owned by a chinese man who grew up in calcutta. he is so passionate for his food. everything is great there but the tom yum soup and the cauliflower manchurian stand out.

This was one of my favorites growing up. I don't actually eat the sweets here but I do love their chole bhatura and chaat. They also serve boondi raita, which are fried chickpea flour tiny balls in yogurt - so good! They also have sugar cane juice here.

The chaats here are amazing. I always order the papri chaat. This place used to be an ice cream parlor owned by a childhood friend's family, but the current owners just kept the same decor so it is all pink with ice cream cones on the wall. kind of funny but very good chaat!
