I love every meal at Blaue Gans, but breakfast is particularly noteworthy for the cheesy scrambled eggs with bits of crisp bacon tossed in, and the baked goods.

Another restaurant that shines at breakfast (even more so than at other meals). The porchetta sandwich on ciabatta with a fried egg is hard to beat. All baked goods are superb.

Early in Williamsburg is later than most places. They use Anson Mills grits and farm-fresh eggs and everything is come il faut. Like I made it myself.

To my surprise, they serve the best bran muffin I've ever had. It's blueberry banana, and it has a moist texture and earthy buttery taste. It's sort of the bran muffin I've been looking for all my life.

No frills, but yummy, reasonable breakfast. Fruit in fruit salad is ripe (OMG!) and egg, bacon, cheese on ciabatta sandwich is a real bargain
